In addition to this blog I have started a group

as well as pinpointxtra.wordpress.com
Hopefully, programming my Pin Point Xrtra app will not be too troublesome to port.
It works in iOS, and is in the app store. Done in Adobe CS6 Flash Pro with AS3, AIR and a bit of Flex for good measure. But basically AS3.
It works in Android, but until I get hold of a real phone I can't test it properly. One issue in the Emulator, but I don't know if that is an emulator problem, or a Twitter callback url problem.
I haven't done more than look at Windows yet - just set up a developer registration so far.
So, being reasonably familiar with most languages in one form or another, could this be something that finally takes over my life ..... truly an 'appcodejunkie'. Will I now ever get the time to actually do any coding. I'm trying to learn XCode on the Mac. Very nice. Very FAST. Windows Visual everything looks typical Windows overload, and Elipse - well, it's C and Java and something else ... what can I say. I love it. And ... I'm still struggling with learning Chinese after about 30 years. ouch.
What have I discovered so far in my rambles through the various packages. All of them, including Adobe and Apple, seem to be hell bent on adding features. This is to the detriment of the finer points of the packages, because once you get deeper into them, you find that there is always something missing. In some way they will fall short. Even if it's just incorrectly put together Code Samples in the Help files.
Apple appear to be the best and quickest at responding and fixing things like this - but it's hell when you can't even get through a HelloWorld tutorial without it turning to trash right in the last three pages.
However - it's all good fun.
